Focusing on peppermint import buyers, the 5 leading importers of peppermint in 2022 were the United States of America, Germany, Japan, mainland China and the United Kingdom. Collectively, that quintet of top buyers bought 45% of globally imported peppermint.
Those percentages suggest a much more concentrated cohort of 63 total peppermint exporters (89.1% for top 5 suppliers) compared to 144 importing countries, islands and territories with a corresponding 45% for the top 5 importers.
