Year over year, sales of globally exported yogurt expanded by 9.8% compared to $2.52 billion during 2020.
The top 5 most lucrative exporters of yogurt are Germany, France, Greece, Belgium and Austria. Together, that leading group of international suppliers generated well over half (56.4%) of exported yogurt sales for 2021.
Among continents, countries in Europe rank as the strongest sales force for exporting yogurt during 2021 with shipments valued at $2.3 billion or more than four-fifths (82.4%) of the worldwide total.
In second place were Asian exporters at 8.9% while another 3.3% of worldwide yogurt shipments originated from North America.
Smaller percentages came from Africa (2.9%), Oceania’s (1.5%) Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, then Latin America (1%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean.
